The youth of South Korea is exposed to great pressure and expectations from both their parents and society in terms of school grades, what university to attend, their future career and how they look. Many Koreans are already as children taught to work hard in school, be competitive in order to apply for a good university - often chosen by their parents. If they are not accepted into a certain range of well-recognized universities they will have difficulties finding work afterwards. Before attending university many Korean have double eyelid surgery done, because it is said, that it is easier to find a job, if you look pretty. The young generation of the Korean society is fighting for a better future and hope things are about to change.
